Storage the org owns, not a person
Traditional cloud storage is built around individual users. Files live in someone's "My Drive," and the rest of the team gets borrowed access. A Fastio workspace flips that: it is communal storage owned by the organization and the people permissioned into it. Think of it as a shared, permissioned, versioned home for a project's files, closer to a code repository than a personal folder.
People come and go. The files stay put.
Because a workspace belongs to the organization rather than a person, ownership is transferable. When someone is hired, leaves, or moves teams in a reorg, the files do not move with them. Access just changes hands. The same applies to portals and shared folders, so an offboarding never strands a project's work in a personal account.
Onboarding
Permission a new hire or a new agent into the workspaces they need. Everything that was ever produced there is already in place, with full history, not buried in a predecessor's drive.
Offboarding
When someone leaves, revoke their access without touching the content. No frantic hunt for files locked inside a departing teammate's "My Drive," and no broken share links for clients or vendors.
Reorgs and handoffs
Reassign a workspace, portal, or shared folder to a new owner in a few clicks. Ownership transfers cleanly while files, comments, and version history stay exactly where they are.
A shared, permissioned, versioned home for a project
A workspace behaves less like a folder you happen to share and more like a shared repository for a project's files: one durable place that the organization owns, the right people can read or write, and that keeps a record of how the work changed over time.
Every save is recoverable
Workspaces keep per-file version history. When a file is updated, the prior versions are kept, so an overwrite is never the end of the story. Roll a file back to an earlier version when an agent or a teammate makes a change you did not want, or just compare how it looked before. Nothing is lost to a bad edit.

Designed for Team Collaboration
Your team's files are ready for humans and agents to use.
Org-Owned, Not Personal
Workspaces belong to your organization, not a single user. Group them under one org for the whole company instead of fragmented personal accounts sharing one-off folders.
Discoverable Workspaces
Browse available workspaces and join the ones that matter to you. Agents and teammates see the same directory.
Multiplayer Presence
See who is active in a workspace or file, including agents. Follow anyone to see what they are working on.
Granular Privacy
Make workspaces open to everyone in your org or keep them private for specific team members, agents, or departments.
External Shared Folders
Invite clients, partners, or vendors to specific folders within a workspace without giving them access to everything.
Contextual Comments
Leave comments on specific video frames, document sections, or image regions. Feedback stays where the work is.
Per-File Version History
Every file keeps its prior versions. Restore an earlier one when an edit needs undoing, so a bad overwrite or an agent change is never permanent.
Universal Media Support
Inside Every Workspace.
Stop downloading files just to see what they are. Instant preview for every format: stream 4K HEVC video, pan through high-res images, and read PDFs directly in your browser. Works seamlessly on desktop, tablet, and mobile.

AI Agent Sandbox Scoping
Agents use the same verified role hierarchy, but are strictly scoped to individual workspaces. They can never "see" or "leak" files between unrelated workspaces.
